At Midwest Retina, our experienced physicians use the most advanced technology and a patient-centered approach to create the best treatment plan for each patient. Our physicians consult regularly on challenging cases to design effective surgical plans. Surgery in an operating room may be necessary to repair retinal detachments, bleeding, scarring conditions, or trauma. Almost all of our surgeries are performed as an outpatient procedures at one of two ambulatory surgery centers. The most common procedure our physicians perform in the operating room is a pars plana vitrectomy.
