Teaching: Dr. Parikh participates at various optometric and ophthalmic continuing medical education programs by lecturing on retinal diseases and current treatment options. He has also authored multiple textbook chapters on retinal diseases and surgery. He is also active in training vitreoretinal surgical fellows at Midwest Retina.
Research and Special Interests: Dr. Parikh has published research articles in national journals and presented his research at national conferences on various retinal topics including hydroxychloroquine retinopathy screening, macular degeneration and small gauge vitrectomy.
His interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and associated complications, retinal vascular diseases, retinal drug toxicity monitoring, vitreoretinal interface abnormalities (vitreomacular traction, epiretinal membrane, macular hole), retinal detachments, and complications related to cataract surgery
