Teaching: Prior to joining Midwest Retina, Dr. Kim served as a full-time faculty member at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan. He has been involved in the training of medical students, ophthalmology residents and vitreoretinal fellows. He has contributed to a number of publications and medical journals and lectures at both local and national ophthalmology conferences.
Research and Special Interests: Dr. Kim served as an investigator in a number of clinical research trials for the treatments of macular degeneration and other retinal disorders. His clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, retinal vascular disease, and other complications of cataract surgery.
